    Areas of focus?

    Love to help our clients build a successful strategy to get the hires they need to deliver their projects. 

    What’s your background?

    Background in Finance and Accounting, but with a super passionate, techy 20+ years of building worldclass tech teams across the UK, Europe and globally in Software, Cyber, Cloud and Electronics.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?  

    I love hearing from a happy client and working with someone who just keeps coming back year on year, and who has an awesome relationship with our teams. 

    Why did you start Set2Recruit?

    Wanted to bring a relationshipfocused boutiquestyle team together to raise the bar on talent acquisition for global clients. 

    Favourite holiday destination?

    Love Dubai and Abu Dhabi  

    Pet hates?

    Not being young enough to put in 16-hour days permanently, as time is the most limiting factor to us in helping more clients and candidates. 

    Where are you most likely to be at the weekend?

    On a golf course (with my seven-year-old son, if he fancies it), or near the coast walking, kayaking or kicking a ball around.

    From Juniors to Senior leaders mainly within UK, Spanish and Asian markets.

    What’s your background?

    I started my Recruitment career with a global agency where I grew from Associate up to Senior, before moving to Set2Recruit in 2018. I have worked my way up to Principle Consultant and I look after a small team.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    Knowing that I have played a part in a candidate’s life-changing career that has influenced their whole family’s future. Or, knowing that I have made a big impact in a client’s project to ensure its success is due to the level of candidate I acquired.

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    I’ve always had an interest in tech and wanted to join a company where I was surrounded by professionals who knew the market inside out and could constantly improve my knowledge.

    Ibiza

    Pet hates?

    People who eat loud and people that stop at the top of an escalator.

    Where are you most likely to be at the weekend?

    Taking my Lemon Beagle Luci for a walk, trying to play football with the LGBTQ+ team I co-founded last year, or eating cheese.

    Received my grounding at a global agency before working my way up to Associate Director at Set2Recruit.

    Building lasting relationships with candidates and clients.

    I’ve always had an interest in Tech and an independent where I could shape my future as well as others was a big appeal.

    I have come from a Motor Trade Sales background with 5 years’ experience selling cars for Mercedes-Benz via Online/Fleet channels. Prior to that, I had a few jobs selling phones and electricals. So, I’ve always been surrounded by tech.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    Hearing and seeing the joy I give people when I help place them in that next step in their career and the long-lasting relationship with both candidate and client that follows.

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    I am a massive (not-so-secret) geek and love all things IT. I wanted to get away from taking people’s money and wanted to pursue something more rewarding.

    Socialising, or studying for my Astrophysics degree.

    I started my career at a global agency and completed my 2-year apprenticeship, gaining qualifications within Sales and Recruitment. I have been working in recruitment for 6 years across various sectors.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    I enjoy finding out about how businesses work, gaining an insight into different industries, roles and departments. I enjoy finding the right candidates for the best jobs and building long-term relationships with both businesses and with candidates.

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    IT/Tech Recruitment has always fascinated me. I enjoy working on a global scale and feel that there is a great foundation for me to grow and develop within an experienced team.

    I have 11 years’ experience within IT recruitment working my way up to Principal Consultant at Set2Recruit.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    The opportunity to work with people on a daily basis and building relationships both with candidates and clients.

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    Having moved to Exeter I was looking for the best tech recruiter in the area and Set2Recruit stood out as the best business for me to develop my career.

    I love all things Defence both in the UK and internationally. I have a particular interest in Security Architecture and Solutions Consultancy.

    What’s your background?

    I started at a large corporate agency, and that enabled me to gain excellent training in good recruitment methodologies and practices. After almost 2 years I decided this was too restricted and I wanted something I could really make my own.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    I love picking up the phone and speaking to people and really delving into what makes them tick and where their passions lie – I’m almost definitely the loudest person in the office!

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    I wanted to join a business where I could make a genuine impact. Set2Rercuit allows me to build my own desk the way I want to and focus on the areas that I’m genuinely interested in.

    Walking my crazy Labrador on the beach or on Dartmoor. If not, then I usually spend a lot of time watching videos or reading books by big Tony Robbins!

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    When you really believe on a candidate and he/she obtains the job and performs as well as you imagined.

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    Oana contacted me with information about the company, it sounded really appealing and continued with the process. As the selection developed, I felt that I could fit really well in Set2Recruit and learn a lot as a professional. There are a lot of reasons actually. It´s in England, it has an international environment, the job is about the field I´m interested in, new tools and a space to learn.

    Favourite holiday destination?

    I love cultural holidays, to learn about a new country and how people live in it. My favourite destination till now was Georgia, Budapest or Rome, and someday I would really like to go to Mexico (that has nothing in common with the other destinations, I know)

    Arrogant and superficial people who think they are superior.

    What’s your background?

    I started off in event management and marketing, and eventually moved into digital recruitment. I’ve had breaks off to study, gaining a BA in Sociology from Cardiff University and an MA in Sociology from the University of Exeter.

    What are your favourite parts of recruitment?

    Sourcing and screening candidates and the building process of it all – from the first interview to second stage, final interview and the offer.

    Why did you join Set2Recruit?

    I joined Set2Recruit because of the company’s culture, which is outgoing, sociable and with friendly people who focus on the quality of work as opposed to the quantity of work. Not an over emphasis on KPI’s.
